Our goal is to help growers better understand their cultivation process through organized data, environmental monitoring, and eventually deeper analysis tools.

Hypha Aeris is in a closed, application-only beta. A small number of units are placed with selected growers to test environmental monitoring in real grow spaces. There will not be an open beta. Apply to be considered when a closed-beta unit becomes available. Will Hypha Aeris closed-beta hardware ship internationally?

The closed beta currently ships only within the United States. As a small startup shipping early-generation hardware, we're trying to avoid situations where devices get delayed or tied up in customs for long periods of time while we're still iterating quickly on the product. This is one reason interoperability and external sensor APIs are important to us long term — we want international growers to still be able to use Hypha software and eventually connect their own hardware setups where possible. We absolutely hope to expand international hardware availability in the future as manufacturing and logistics stabilize.

Will Hypha work with third-party sensors or grow systems?

Eventually, yes — interoperability is something we care about a lot. Right now we're building our own environmental sensor (Hypha Aeris) first so we can move quickly and tightly integrate the experience during the closed hardware beta. Longer term, we plan to provide APIs so growers can report external sensor data into Hypha and build their own integrations. Some ecosystems are easier to integrate with than others depending on whether they expose public APIs.

How many Hypha Aeris closed-beta units can I receive?

The application-only closed beta is limited to 1 unit per selected participant. Since this is early-generation hardware, we want to prioritize broad community participation and gather feedback across many different grow environments while we continue refining the product. We hope to expand availability and quantity limits as manufacturing and support processes mature.

Will I be able to export my grow data?

Yes. We strongly believe growers should own their own cultivation data. We plan to support exporting grow data, notes, photos, environmental history, and other cultivation records. We also want to support growers who want to analyze their own data using spreadsheets, custom tooling, or AI/ML workflows.

Is my grow data private?

Accepted Answer

Your data is not publicly visible to other users, and we will never sell or share your grow data/photos outside the company. That said, because Hypha is currently a cloud-based platform, we technically can access backend data for things like debugging, support, and improving the platform. We care a lot about minimizing unnecessary data collection, handling user data responsibly, and being transparent about how information is used.

Will Hypha use AI or machine learning?
